“We contracted Haykel to re-work a Flash application for whiteboard display. This was originally created for the English language only, but we needed a proof of concept in Arabic. Haykel first wrote a document outlining the technical options, and then adjusted the code base to create a functioning Arabic version. As English speakers, we had little experience of Arabic and relied upon Haykel to suggest the design and functionally changes necessary. The code base was ActionScript 2 and was not built with localization in mind, so there were some technical challenges. Haykel was responsive throughout and put up with us changing our minds and springing new deadlines on him without complaint. He made creative suggestions and was informative and polite at all times. His technical knowledge in Flash and object orientated programming seemed good and he was able to solve problems with little technical input. He seemed to have little difficulty coming to terms with a fairly complex product offering and code base. As an Arabic speaker his understanding of localization was particularly valuable. We'd certainly consider working with him again.”
